VIA Rail Canada Pensioners' Association - Ontario meetings are held twice a year on the second Tuesday in April and the second Tuesday in September of each year, at 11:00 am, at the Pickle Barrel Restaurant, entrance on Yonge Street, west side, north of Dundas Street and Dundas Subway. Lunch is served at the Association expense. The purpose of these meetings are to keep members informed, to get acquainted with each other while we are alive, and to break bread together. We do require at least three (3) days notice of the member attending.
The objectives of the association remain the same:
- To operate a non-profit organization for social activities and the well being of all members.
- To unite VIA Rail retired employees, and to monitor collective bargaining trends, social, economic, educational, legislative and political events of interest to retired members and their spouses.
- To petition Unions and Legislators for the introduction and enactment of legislation on measures to improve the health and welfare of all retired employees, consistent with the policies of the VIA Rail Canada Pensioners' Association.
- To act as advocate for all members on all matters.
Our objectives can only be obtained through your support
